I was diagnosed with ADPKD on Thursday, September 6, 2007. It's pretty scary and I feel like if I share my feelings maybe I will feel better and just maybe someone else with renal disease will read it and know they aren't the only one...
Of course, there is a lot more to me than PKD. I am the luckiest woman in the world because I have the most amazing husband. I am pregnant and expecting my first child. I LOVE reading. My new hobby is collecting rare books. I'm inseparable from my dog. I am an active community volunteer and serve on several non-profit boards. Otherwise, my time is spent cooking, entertaining friends, and listening to music.
And if not, I'm sure your doggie will stay by your side until you are. Our dog is our baby (for now!) too, along with our two cats. Gotta love pet therapy!
